More on Million Dollars Home Pages

Remember the Million dollars home page ? The concept becomes very popular and many tried after it to create their own million dollars home page, but does it still work ? I stumbled upon recently Tadashi's creation mmmzr, the basic concept is always the same selling pixels on a web page, but I find the idea more original and most important it works !

I've found the mmmzr's business model very interesting, since you can advertise and get back your money twice, but in the same time profit from a unique advertising opportunity. At the end of the day, either your ad is at the top of mmmzr's front page in prime clicking position, or you have received your money back or better!

Ads displayed on the home page are 50x50 pixels buttons in jpg or gif format, small but originals in addition to the design of mmmzr which looks very web 2.0. Prices began from $1, and then increase progressively by doubling for every slot and there is already 88 buttons displayed while the members page display 42 members.

The concept looks original, and prices already reached $4096 and $8192, which means the most expensive ad on this site is now $16,384 !! This is probably not millions dollars of revenue, but that's a good internet advertising experience which worked very well if you know that Tadashi started selling ads on 25th October 2006 according to his blog, that's less than one week !
