ReviewMe, Write Reviews For Cash

I was notified today by TLA that my blog was Pre-Approved at Reviewme.com, a brand new blog advertising system ! A new solution for bloggers to monetize their blog by posting paid reviews similar to this one (PS : This is not a paid review !). Reviewme works on any blog including: Typepad, Blogger, etc because no ad code is needed and because blogs are an excellent target for reviews, the concept sounds very original and neat for paid posts.

How does it work ?

If you are a blogger, first you have to register for a free account at Reviewme, then add one or more blogs that you own. Reviews prices are similar to TLA that is generated automatically based on many information related to the popularity of your blog, an index that worked for TLA and will certainly work very well for Reviewme. Then your blog will be listed on the advertisers section organized by categories.

Adding your blogs

You can add up to 6 blogs per account, but a blog can accept an unlimited number of blogs. I find it good for bloggers, but a limitation for network blogging which have certainly more than 10 blogs. I don't know if you have to create more than one account if you have more than 6 blogs or wait until they add support for additional blogs or probably contact Reviewme.

Adding reviews

Reviews are usually more than 200 words depending on the requirements of the advertiser, it should also be followed by the indication "Advertisement :" or "Sponsored post :" or anything that can indicate that the post is paid. Something that I liked very much which is very good for the credibility of the review. There is also a time to submit review 48h which I found enough to try the product and review it. Once you finish your review you have to post back a link of the review then finish.

Why Reviewme Concept will work ?

I'm not sure but with the latest aquisition of TLA by MediaWhiz I was expected for something new like this, and I think with a good marketing campaign like the $25 000 they are doing to promote Reviewme I think it will certainly attract many advertisers.

Many advertisers also looks to have their products or service reviewed, and adding such service will help targeting the most important blogs much more easily.

Some bloggers won't accept to review for money and it's their rights, or refuse to review for some products but this will depend on bloggers and usually an extra revenue will be always appreciated. It's something to blog about anyway, and 48h it's not a big deal to write a 200 word review in my opinion.

Conclusion

Overall Reviewme is certainly a new original concept for advertising using reviews as the advertisement product, there is only one problem if prices are 50-50 between bloggers and Reviewme, an advertiser can contact directly the blogger for posting review which will be a lost of money for Reviewme. Otherwise I find the product very well done, and very interesting for both bloggers and advertisers. I think prices, even automated, are very well placed, but some bloggers won't agree with the limitation of $125, or the $250 that the advertiser pay to get his product reviewed.
