Microsoft adCenter And Fake Promotions
It happen that it's the first time I'm talking here about Microsoft adCenter, and the story just makes me laugh for an hour that I couldn't blog about it this afternoon. It looks like Microsoft adCenter can't bill correctly ! It's written somewhere that the program is in beta but this is not about a coding bug, it's about something obvious while running a business and selling services. Matt decided to try out Microsoft's adCenter since there was a $100 credit promotion for new accounts, but it turned to a nightmare when adCenter tried to charge him $111.85 instead of $11.85 (which is the subtotal minus the $100 promotion). Until here there is nothing wrong, it might be a bug and they are going to fix it, but when the customer service insisted that the billing is correct and the guy should be pay the subtotal instead of the total, it become really dumb, or are the promotions just fake ?
December 21st - Spoke to a customer service rep (CSR) who thought that I had to pay the full $111.85, and then I'd get another account credit of $100. He really wasn't sure, however, so after arguing with him on how to read an invoice, I was finally transferred to a supervisor. The supervisor told me the same exact thing that the first CSR told me about paying the full $111.85 and not $11.85.
