Auction Ads Launches

ShoeMoney Media and MediaWhiz have just launched today a new product for eBay auction advertising AuctionAds. A Creative implementation of Ebay's affiliate program, AuctionAds is simple to use in three steps : you signup, add your code, get profit. I noticed that TLA, AA and ReviewMe focus on the fact of sending revenue by the end of the same month, no 15-30 days waiting and a $10 minimum for earnings! This is interesting for publishers who used to wait so long before getting their revenue. Below a live sample of what AuctionAds looks like :

eBay affiliates can earn up to 40% and 65% of eBay's Revenue (not item sale price) on Winning Bids or Buy It Now, so it's clear that when a visitor is sent from your website a purchase should be made so it convert to money in your revenue share. CPC have been always the kind of program that don't work for all publishers, but product based blogs and people who use much of Amazon and Chitika will certainly find themselves more friendly with such program.

AuctionAds currently supports traffic from all countries in which eBay has a presence. Ad units currently only display ads in English, but all click traffic is geotargeted to the visitors country. Which mean that if you are from US you will see auction from eBay US, readers from France will see auction from eBay France ... etc. This is important to make the Ads targeting better and generate higher revenue, but notice that Ads units will display in english always.

Overall I think this could work very fine with publishers who used to run Amazon and Chitika or any other product based advertising program. This doesn't mean that it work with others, if you are a publishers I think it's interesting to test it, you can never know where your revenue is. Finally there is a 2% affiliate to AuctionAds embedded with the Ads for those who signup as publishers, it's also during six months only. There is not a lot to share with 2% of affiliate program, but if AuctionAds is able to create a large platform of publishers I think their margins will be much much higher and their business model will be certainly profitable.
